Anamnesis
Psychotherapy aims to learn new solutions to old problems while discovering the freedom to make the right choices to achieve goals.
During Psychotherapy,  moods, feelings, thoughts and behaviours will be addressed to help clients take control of their lives and respond to challenging situations.

Avaliação da personalidade e funcionamento emocional

Esta avaliação é realizada através da prova projetiva Rorscharh e consiste na análise das várias áreas da pessoa como:
  •  Controlo e tolerância ao stress 
  • Aspectos afectivos 
  • Relações interpessoais 
  • Imagem de si 
  • Ideação 
  • Processamento de informação
  • Mediação de informação
Esta análise irá permitir à pessoa compreender o que está a boicotar a sua felicidade, a manter padrões disfuncionais, a dificiltar o seu relacionamento com os outros e com o mundo.

Orientação vocacional

Por vezes os jovens têm dúvidas sobre qual o caminho a seguir. Qual a área de estudos escolher no 9ano, qual o curso superior escolher ou até mesmo não saberem para que área de estudos querem prosseguir depois de se darem conta de que não escolheram bem da primeira vez.
A avaliação psicológica neste âmbito visa ajudar a esclarecer e tomar consciência de vários aspetos, através de uma compilação de dados provenientes de:
  • Avaliação da Personalidade
  • Avaliação dos Raciocínios (espacial, mecânico, numérico, abstracto e verbal) 
  • Avaliação de Interesses.

Depois da combinação desses dados é possível ajudar o jovem a dar conta dos seus pontos fortes e pontos menos fortes para que possam decidir em plena consciência o seu percurso profissional e pessoal.

Child assessment and consultation

Sometimes children manifest behaviors that can and should be seen by the adult as symptoms of something that the child is having difficulties in their development process.
Symptoms such as:

  • Hyperactive conduits
  • Learning difficulties

The evaluation is carried out with the use of age-specific evaluation instruments and lithodiagnosis.
It is essential for the adult to account for behaviors as signs or symptoms and to understand how to help the child develop in a healthy and harmonious way.

EMDR Therapy

Desensitisation and Reprocessing of Eye Movement (EMDR) is a psychotherapy that allows people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that result from disturbing life experiences.

Repeated studies show that using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy, which it would take years to achieve. It is widely assumed that severe emotional pain requires a lot of time to heal.

EMDR therapy shows that the mind can indeed heal itself from psychological trauma as much as the body recovers from physical trauma. Using the detailed protocols and procedures learned, the psychotherapist helps the client to activate their natural healing processes.

More than 30 studies of positive controlled outcomes were done with EMDR therapy. Some of the studies show that 84-90% of victims of a single trauma no longer have post-traumatic stress disorder after only three 90-minute sessions. It is recognised as an effective form of treatment by organisations such as the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organisation and the Department of Defence.
