Casa Sakra reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions whenever necessary, and the most up-to-date version will be published.

21. Amendments to these Terms

These Terms are governed by Portuguese law.
Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent Portuguese courts, without prejudice
to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

20. Applicable Law

Casa Sakra is subject to the supervision of the Health Regulatory Authority; users may lodge complaints or report incidents via the channels provided by the ERS.

19. Health Regulatory Authority (ERS)

In the event of a consumer dispute, the patient may refer the matter to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body, in accordance with Law No. 144/2015 of 8 September, as currently in force.

As Casa Sakra is an establishment located in the Algarve, the competent body is:

18. Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes

Patients may submit complaints, compliments, or suggestions regarding the services provided, in accordance with current legislation.

17. Complaints Book

The clinic undertakes to provide its services in accordance with good clinical practice and the available scientific knowledge. It cannot, however, guarantee specific results, given the individual nature of the therapeutic response.

16. Limitation of Liability

All professionals at Casa Sakra are bound by a duty of confidentiality regarding patients' clinical information.

No information will be disclosed without the patient's authorization, except when legally required.

15. Confidentiality

Casa Sakra processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and other applicable national legislation. The data collected is exclusively intended for the provision of healthcare, administrative management, invoicing, and compliance with legal obligations.

The patient may exercise the following rights:

  • access;

  • rectification;

  • deletion, when legally permissible;

  • treatment limitation;

  • opposition;

  • portability.

You may request to exercise these rights by contacting the clinic.

15. Data Protection (GDPR)

The patient should inform the clinic immediately if they experience:

  • pregnancy;

  • Use of anticoagulants;

  • cardiac devices;

  • infectious diseases;

  • allergies;

  • epilepsy;

  • coagulation disorders;

  • medical implants;

  • other relevant conditions.

14. Contraindications

Traditional Chinese Medicine seeks to promote the overall balance of the organism.

It is not possible to guarantee specific results, as the response to treatment depends on multiple individual factors.

No treatment guarantees a cure.

13. Clinical Outcomes

12.1. Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves inserting sterile, disposable needles into specific points on the body.

Temporary effects may occur, such as:

  • slight pain at the insertion site;

  • bruises;

  • slight bleeding;

  • fatigue;

  • drowsiness;

  • a feeling of relaxation;

  • temporary worsening of symptoms.

 

These reactions are usually mild and self-limiting.

12.2. Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage aims to promote musculoskeletal and functional balance.
Temporary muscle tenderness may occur after treatment.

12.3. Facial Acupuncture and Microneedling

Cosmetic treatments aim to stimulate the skin's natural regeneration mechanisms.
Results depend on individual factors, including:

  • age;

  • lifestyle habits;

  • sun exposure;

  • food;

  • general state of health.

 

The following may occur after treatment:

  • redness;

  • slight edema;

  • skin sensitivity;

  • minor bruises.

These symptoms are usually temporary.

12.4. Ozone therapy

Ozone therapy will only be performed when clinically indicated and after medical evaluation.
The patient declares that they will disclose any medical condition that may constitute a contraindication.

12.5. Homeopathy

The homeopathic prescription will be individualized.
Results may vary between patients.

12.6. General and Family Medicine

General and Family Medicine consultations follow good clinical practices and applicable legislation.
Whenever necessary, additional tests or referrals to other specialists may be requested.

12. Medicines and Therapies

By starting any treatment, the patient declares that they understand that:

  • All procedures were duly explained to him;

  • You may ask questions before treatment;

  • You may interrupt treatment at any time.

11. Consent to Treatment

The patient agrees to:

  • to provide accurate clinical information;

  • Follow the therapeutic recommendations;

  • Respect the professionals and other patients;

  • Inform the clinic about any relevant changes in your health status;

  • Keep to the scheduled times.

10. Patient’s Responsibilities

The patient has the right to:

  • receive dignified and respectful treatment;

  • receive clear information about their treatment;

  • ask questions;

  • accept or refuse any procedure;

  • discontinue treatment at any time;

  • request access to their personal data.

9. Patient Rights

8.1. Initial Consultation
The first consultation includes a complete clinical evaluation.

The patient agrees to provide truthful information regarding:

  • medical history;

  • medication;

  • Allergies;

  • surgeries;

  • pregnancy;

  • chronic diseases;

  • relevant tests.

Withholding information could compromise the safety of the treatment.

8.2. Follow-up Consultations

Clinical progress will be assessed at each appointment.

The treatment plan may be adjusted whenever the professional deems it clinically appropriate.

8. Consultations

The cost of treatments corresponds to the price list in force on the date of the appointment.
Payments may be made in cash, by debit card or via MBWay.
The clinic will issue an invoice in accordance with the law.
Where applicable, there may be specific terms and condi6ons for treatments, programmes or packages.

7. Fees and Payments

Patients are asked to arrive 5 to 10 minutes before their appointed time.
The clinic allows a maximum grace period of 15 minutes; aaer this time, it may:

  • shorten the duration of the appointment;

  • reschedule the appointment;

  • treat the appointment as a no-show.

Wherever possible, the best solution for both parties will be found

6. Punctuality

Casa Sakra understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise that require the cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. To ensure efficient scheduling and respect for the time of professionals and other patients, the following policy applies:

  • Cancellations or reschedulings communicated at least 24 hours in advance of the appointment time are free of charge.

  • Cancellations or reschedulings communicated between 24 and 12 hours before the appointment will require payment of 50% of the scheduled appointment or treatment fee.

  • Cancellations communicated with less than 12 hours' notice, as well as no-shows without prior notice, will result in payment of 100% of the scheduled consultation or treatment fee.


Failure to comply with this policy may result in future bookings only being accepted with advance payment.
In exceptional and duly justified situations (namely sudden illness, accident or other force majeure circumstances), Casa Sakra reserves the right to analyze each situation individually.
Whenever the need for rescheduling results from reasons attributable to the clinic or the healthcare professional, a new date and time will be proposed at no additional cost to the patient.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Casa Sakra uses electronic means of communication to facilitate the management of appointments and ensure efficient communication with its patients.
By making an appointment or providing your contact details, the patient authorizes Casa Sakra to communicate with them via email, SMS message, WhatsApp, or telephone contact, whenever necessary for the provision of health services or for the administrative management of their relationship with the clinic.
These communications may include, in particular:

  • Confirmation, modification or cancellation of appointments;

  • Sending reminders for scheduled appointments;

  • Information related to preparing for exams or treatments;

  • Sending prescriptions, clinical or administrative documents, when legally permissible;

  • Responding to information requests made by the patient;

  • Communications related to invoicing, payments, or other administrative matters.


Electronic reminders are a courtesy service provided by the clinic. Failure to receive a reminder, for any reason, does not exempt the patient from attending the appointment on the previously scheduled date and time.
The patient agrees to keep their contact information up to date and to inform Casa Sakra whenever any changes occur.
Communication via email, SMS, or WhatsApp is intended exclusively for administrative matters or clinical follow-up authorized by a healthcare professional, and in no case replaces a medical consultation or Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation.
Urgent clinical situations or those requiring immediate assessment should not be reported.
All communications and personal data will be treated with strict confidentiality, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Casa Sakra's Privacy Policy .

4. Electronic Communications

3.1. Appointment Booking

Appointments can be scheduled through:

  • Clinic reception

  • Telephone

  • Email

  • WhatsApp

  • Website

  • Other resources provided by the clinic

 

Booking an appointment through the website or any electronic platform does not constitute definitive confirmation. The appointment will only be considered confirmed after validation by Casa Sakra.

3.2. Consultation Management

Casa Sakra uses an electronic appointment management system for scheduling, confirming, and monitoring the services provided.

By making an appointment, the patient authorizes the use of their contact details for the following purposes:

  • Appointment confirmation;

  • Sending reminders;

  • communications related to changes or cancellations;

  • Sending administrative information essential to the provision of healthcare.

Whenever possible, the clinic will send automatic reminders via SMS, email, or other electronic means.

Not receiving any reminder does not exempt the patient from the responsibility of attending the appointment on the previously scheduled date and time.

The data entered into the booking system will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Casa Sakra's Privacy Policy .

3. Booking Appointments and Management

These Terms apply to all services provided by the clinic, including but not limited to:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine

  • Acupuncture

  • Therapeutic Massage

  • Facial Acupuncture

  • Microneedling

  • Cupping therapy

  • Moxibustion

  • Ozone therapy

  • Homeopathy

  • General and Family Medicine

  • Other treatments offered by the clinic.

2. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of clinical services by Casa Sakra – Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic, as well as the rights and obligations of patients while using the services provided.

By making an appointment, whether in person, by phone, email, website, or any other means provided by the clinic, the patient declares to have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
